Solusi Blank screen when connecting to Ubuntu login screen

Blank screen when connecting to Ubuntu login screen

Problem

When connecting to Login screen of an Ubuntu 18.04 or 18.10 machine, the user is presented with a blank screen. This is due to the fact that Ubuntu 18.04 and 18.10's Login screen is rendered using Wayland’s display server while the Java Robot, that we use to capture the screen, works correctly only if X11 is used as the default display server.

Workaround

To work around this issue, open Terminal on the Ubuntu machine and enter the following command:
1sudo nano /etc/gdm3/custom.conf
Arrow down in the custom.conf file to:
# Uncoment the line below to force the login screen to use Xorg
# WaylandEnable=false
Uncomment “WaylandEnable=false” by removing the hash and then reboot the machine.
